TOM MADERICK

AIA, LEED GA – PROJECT MANAGER / ARCHITECT

Tom joined Studio 8 Design in September 2025, bringing nearly a decade of experience that bridges the gap between high-security technical precision and creative community design. His arrival marks a key addition to the team as the firm grows toward its goal of becoming a regional leader in mixed-use and community design.

With a career that has ranged from the peaks of Colorado to a study abroad internship in Italy, Tom is uniquely suited for the firm’s focus on adaptive reuse and historic contexts. He has a proven track record of leading complex projects, including a $60 million renovation of the historic Arnold Hall at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Whether he is navigating the intricate technicalities of secure federal facilities or designing for specialized mixed-use activity centers, Tom ensures every project meets rigorous standards while maintaining its unique architectural character.

Tom embodies the upbeat, fresh energy that defines life at Studio 8. As an expert in Revit and BIM software, he serves as a natural leader within the studio’s mentorship program, helping to sharpen the technical skills of the entire team. He is a strong advocate for the studio’s commitment to a healthy work-life balance—valuing the discipline he finds on the Jiu-Jitsu mat and the collaborative team vibe of a design charrette just as much as the time spent exploring Nashville’s evolving mixed-use neighborhoods with his wife and daughter.
